It is just me, or are some lawsuits just really silly?

One of these silly lawsuits is coming out of Florida this week. According to their local ABC Affiliate, customers are suing the fast food chain over a simple issue. They claim that McDonald's is making them for cheese on the menu items such as the Quarter Pounder and the Double Quarter Pounder. While this seems normal, this lawsuit insists that the company is making customers pay for the cheese even when they want a plain burger. However what is most shocking about the potential case is not the reasoning, but the damages the customers are seeking.

They are seeking over 5 MILLION DOLLARS in damages over slices of cheese! How in the world did they come up with that number? McDonald's cheese can't be worth that much can it?
