If you believed a lot of the things that were said on National Signing Day, you'd think Alabama's run of dominance was over but don't bury the Tide just yet.

The early odds are out for the 2018 college football season and oddsmakers made Alabama a 2-1 favorite to win its second straight national championship. Clemson, Georgia, and Ohio State are slightly behind at 7-1. Every other team is at least 14-1 after that.

It's shaping up to be another strong Crimson Tide team with a wealth of young talent returning, including quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa. Underclassmen played a major role in Alabama's comeback victory over Georgia in the College Football Playoff Championship Game last month and they'll be in position to earn a spot in the playoff for the fifth consecutive year.

Even after winning two championships in three seasons, many people were quick to voice concern over the future of the program after Nick Saban didn't pull in the best recruiting class in the SEC. The Georgia Bulldogs took home the 2018 recruiting title while Alabama finished 6th nationally.

We'll get our first look at next year's team when spring practice gets underway in March.
