A number of years ago, Chris Stewart mentioned to a pair of my trusted co-hosts and me from the University of Alabama campus radio station that sportscasting isn’t rocket science or brain surgery but simply being a spectator with the best seat in the house. Traveling some of the south’s finest back roads calling high school and college athletics events showed me how that statement is completely on the mark. I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa. I’m a two-time graduate from the University of Alabama with a degree in Telecommunication and Film plus a Master’s in Sports Management. I’ll always be proud to say how privileged I was to call New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler’s games at the University of West Alabama and see him go from a standout small college defender to a Super Bowl hero overnight. Outside of producing Inside the Locker Room and The Gary Harris Show, I am the play-by-play voice for Samford University Softball.
