I have no idea why this teen thought this was a good idea.

Unfortunately, this story reported by KAMK, is true. The child, remaining unidentified, decided to prank call 911 over 100 times, holding up possibly other emergencies. According to officers, the first few calls sounded real. But after many fake calls, and other times where the teen simply called and then hung up, police began to suspect something was amiss.

Eventually the authorities caught onto to the young man's supposed "hijinks." Police has caught the young man, and in addition to finally stopping the prank calls from them, plan to file charges against the prank caller. Which, in my opinion, might be the best way to deter others from disrupting a system which is intended for emergencies only.

In closing, stick to silly, harmless pranks, instead of ones that could have tragic consequences.
