It's officially Spring; however, chilly temperatures seem to be lingering here in West Alabama.  The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Frost Advisory in effect from 2 a.m. until 8 a.m. Thursday (March 22, 2018). The text of the advisory is below.

...FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM CDT THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Frost
Advisory, which is in effect from 2 AM to 8 AM CDT Thursday.

* TEMPERATURE...will range between 32 to 36 degrees Thursday
  morning.

* IMPACTS...of the cold temperatures could result in damaging or
  killing crops and other sensitive vegetation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Frost Advisory means that widespread frost is expected.
Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
