College football has been waiting for the rematch between Alabama and Georgia and they'll get it this weekend in the SEC Championship Game.

The Crimson Tide won last year's meeting in the national championship with a dramatic overtime touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa, and now these two teams will square off with a conference championship on the line.

"Georgia is, I've already said, one of the most complete teams in the country," Saban said. "I think Kirby (Smart) has done a fantastic job there in terms of taking the players that were there and developing them in the style he wants them to be and doing a good job of recruiting."

Saban didn't look back on Auburn much and made it clear that all focus needs to go towards improvement and preparation for an important game on Saturday afternoon.

"I think the most important thing is that we have really good focus and preparation in practice this week for this particular game and this particular opponent."

Here's what else Saban talked about during his Monday press conference:

  • Not much to say about the Auburn game. They will review tape and try to make improvements.
  • Thoughts on Georgia's special teams and the explosive returns they've had this year.
  • Georgia hasn't dramatically changed from last year. What he's seen from the Bulldogs in each area.
  • The similarities between Georgia's defense and Alabama's system.
  • Where QB Jake Fromm has improved from 2017 to 2018.
  • Alabama's ability to utilize all of its playmakers on offense this year.
  • He had some fun with a question about Jared Mayden's first half suspension and how it changes his scheme.
  • His thoughts on the Georgia run game and those talented running backs.
  • Looked back on last year's decision to change quarterbacks at halftime last year.
  • The recent slow starts for Alabama.
  • How Georgia has been able to limit explosive plays this year and how that impacts the way he approaches the game.

You can watch the entire press conference in the video at the top of the page. SEC Championship Game coverage will begin at 10 a.m. live from the Sportsbook at Timeout Lounge on Tide 102.9/100.9 and 95.3 the Bear.
