Ricky Latham, 29, of Tuscaloosa, has been formally charged in connection with the tragic July 4th boat crash that claimed the lives of Ricky Glover, 47, of Akron and Destiny Graben, 23, of Northport.

According to reports, Latham was driving the ski boat and Graben was his passenger. Glover was in the other boat that was involved in the accident. Three other people were also injured in the collision of the two boats.

Trooper Freddie Ingram revealed to reporters that alcohol was involved in accident. He told the media on Friday, July 13, “We know the events that unfolded prior to the wreck.  We worked extremely hard to put this case together and we worked extremely hard to try and make a resolution.”

Latham has been charged with two counts of reckless murder. He was arrested, and transported to the Hale County Jail in Greensboro on Friday, (July 13). He's currently  being held with no bond set, and could be facing additional charges early this week.
