The wait for Myles Kennedy’s debut solo album is almost over. To celebrate the upcoming release of Year of the Tiger, Kennedy dropped by our studio to perform an acoustic rendition of the album’s title track.

Released as a single late last year, “Year of the Tiger” has received huge amounts of praise by fans. The Alter Bridge / Slash vocalist has been speaking about a solo album for almost a decade, so the release was more than welcome from patient listeners. Year of the Tiger conceptually tackles the death of Kennedy’s father 40 years ago after his Christian Science beliefs caused the elder Kennedy not to seek medical treatment.

“Year of the Tiger” is the album’s opening track, setting the mood for Myles’ full story. Accompanied by Tim Tournier, who plays bass on Kennedy’s album, Myles gave a performance of “Year of the Tiger” in our studio.
