How come my classes never got cancelled like this?

At the University of North Alabama, classes were all set to begin on August 27th. The doors opened, and students entered their buildings to begin the semester. But unknown to many students and faculty, there was a surprise waiting in one of the buildings.

The NBC affiliate in Fort Worth reports that a raccoon had somehow entered the North Texas music building and shocked unsuspecting teachers and students alike. The raccoon was harmless, not attacking anybody and animal control was called in to remove the critter.

And the school itself had a little fun with the situation as well, tweeting about it:

Still, how did the raccoon get into the building? Did someone leave a door open?
