Back in February, I reported on the closing of Schlotzsky's on 15th Street. In cased you missed it, you can read the article HERE

Today, I'm excited to announce that Schlotzsky's will be re-opening THIS week! And it's re-opening where it was before, at 401 15th Street East.

However, it will have a slightly new name. It will be now known at Schlotzsky's Austin Eatery. But it least it's BACK, and I'm excited about it!

The grand re-opening celebration takes place THIS Thursday, (8/9), at 10 a.m. And if you're one of the first 100 folks to buy a CinnaPack of six Cinnabon Classic cinnamon rolls, you can get free food for a year.

Free Food for a year?! I'm THERE, Baby!

Also, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. this Thursday, customers can get free slider sandwiches with the purchase of a medium drink.

The new owners say that there will be some new items on the menu, too.

General Manager Jim Baker told The Tuscaloosa News, "We’re going to add a bottled beer cooler ... so you can have beer or wine with your favorite sandwiches. We’re going to do a breakfast. We’ll have some burritos, we’ll have some tacos, we’ll have our from-scratch sourdough buns here and we’ll put eggs and bacon or eggs and sausage or eggs and ham — whatever you choose.”

Looks like I know where I'll be spending this Thursday :-)
