Today is the last day to register to vote in the primary elections June 5.  Candidates for nearly all state positions, including the governor and all 140 members of the Legislature, will be seeking their party’s nomination to run in the general election Nov. 6.

To register, just stop by the office of the Tuscaloosa County Board of Registrars, 2501 Seventh St., or visit AlabamaVotes.gov to update your voter information and potential polling place.You can also register on the Secretary of State smartphone app, “Vote for Alabama,” in your app store.

To register, you must be a U.S. citizen, an Alabama resident and at least 18 on or before election day.  If you're planning to be out of town for the June 5 primary, May 31 is the last day you can request an absentee ballot.
