Money! Money!! Money!!! Is there anything else you'd rather count?

Now that we've got your attention, know that knowing HOW to count, add, subtract, divide, and so on are major components to managing money. So, if there's any subject we REALLY want to make sure our children know, math has to be one of importance!

On Thursday, November 8th, the 5th grade math classes at Matthews Elementary will host a "Real World Math: Tailgating Project," which has a goal of connecting daily math skills to real-life mathematical situations. For the past nine weeks, students have been gathering data on the overall cost of tailgating and attending a college, university, or professional game.
