Since moving to Tuscaloosa, I've become much busier with work. Recently having a newborn hasn't given me much more time either! Eating on the go and quick snacks have become the norm.

With all of my life changes, it didn't typically help when a worldwide pandemic hit us and made things even more hectic. Luckily, when certain stores were out of food items I didn't panic because I knew I could eat these quick and easy filling snacks. Some of these snacks were things I ate as a child and recently went back to eating. Other snacks are things I just found myself eating often, especially when I began my weight loss journey years ago. Many of these snacks are why I keep at least two jars of peanut butter in my house. Whenever I need a snack, I while out my jar and refer to my list of snacks which always does the trick. I've been told by a few of my fitness friends that peanut butter fills you up and keeps you full longer. They also said it was also a great source of protein. I researched and they were right! According to Healthline, when you eat peanut products as a snack, or before a meal, it results in a feeling of fullness. That feeling is probably a result of rich fats and protein in peanuts. Try out some of my quick snacks at home, they will definitely leave you feeling satisfied.
