The No. 23 Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team is scheduled to open its SEC home schedule this week against No. 1 Ole Miss. Fans of the Tide will have to wait one day longer as today's game is postponed due to the potential for severe weather in the Tuscaloosa area.

The Crimson Tide is 15-6 on the young season and 1-2 in the SEC after it opened up conference play in Fayetteville last weekend.

The doubleheader will start at 2 p.m. CT on Friday with the second game starting approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Both games of the doubleheader will last the traditional nine innings.

Saturday's series capper is still on as planned for 1 p.m. CT first pitch.

Alabama is coming off a loss at home to Southern Miss on Tuesday. The Crimson Tide could make a statement by winning another game against the No. 1 team in the nation after defeating Arkansas last weekend to knock them off the top spot.

Juniors Tyler Ras, Dylan Smith and sophomore Antoine Jean will likely be the starting pitchers for the Crimson Tide as Alabama takes on the No. 1 Rebels.

Fans with Thursday tickets will be able to attend both games tomorrow and "The Joe" and students who received a Friday ticket will be able to attend both games. The games will be aired live on SEC Network+ and can be heard locally on Tide 100.9.
