St. Paul Completes Comeback To Capture 5A State Title
A perfect gumbo of big plays in all phases of the game resulted in a classic as the St. Paul Saints (15-0) defeated the Pleasant Grove Spartans (12-3) 29-21 in the 5A state title game in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Northside Outlasts Deshler 20-13
The Northside Rams (8-2, 5-1) won a nail bitter versus the Deshler Tigers (6-3 ,5-2) in the first round of the Class 4A AHSAA Playoffs.
Tua’s First Touchdown
On a 3rd and goal trailing late in the first quarter, Tua’s first NFL touchdown was very reminiscent of his 87 TDS at the University of Alabama. Timely, precise, and much needed. A perfect throw right to the outside shoulder of Davonte Parker on a quick slant seemed to ignite the whole team as both offensive and defensive players went out of the way to congratulate him on the milestone.

The Selma Saints (5-2,4-0 ) started as strong as they finished dismantling the Central Falcons (2-5,1-4) .

The Paul Bryant High Stampede (1-4, 0-3) got the first win of the season tonight against the Holt Ironmen (1-4, 0-3) and gave themselves a chance for the playoffs.
Gordo Remains Undefeated Beating Northside 27-13
The Gordo Greenwave (3-0, 2-0) were victorious over the Northside Rams (3-1, 1-1) tonight 27-13 to claim the No. 1 spot in the Class 4A Region 5 standings.
Autauga Outlast Tuscaloosa Academy 15-7
Autauga Academy (1-0) defeated Tuscaloosa Academy (0-1) 15-7 in the season opener for both teams.
West Blocton Beats Brookwood 28-7
A 70-yard run would cap off senior night for West Blocton sealing the deal with eight minutes left to go in the fourth quarter. Brookwood would score on the next drive though, preventing a shut-out and pushing the score 28-7.
