Forgive me for stating the obvious here, but it seems like things at the University of Alabama just keep getting better and better with each passing day. Truthfully, there's no way we would be where we are currently without one individual.

His name is Greg Byrne.

Alabama hired him in 2017, and since then, the University and the Athletic programs have done nothing but keep growing. Most importantly, he's improved many facilities and is still working on making other items around campus even better.

Case and point, the newest coming addition for the University, the new basketball and gymnastics arena recently announced. I can't be the only one who wants that new arena built tomorrow right?

Wish we could 3D print it honestly.

More importantly than that, Byrne has also hired two coaches that brought new life to their respective programs.

Nate Oats took the program to the NCAA Tournament in his second year at the helm of the program, taking them all the way to the Sweet Sixteen. Meanwhile, Brad Bohannon has been steadily growing the Alabama baseball program, also taking them to the NCAA Baseball Tournament for the first time since 2014.

There's not much else to be said about Byrne. He's always represented Alabama with the highest decorum as well. But the biggest success of the Byrne era?

Keeping Nick Saban around. Yes I know, much like many Alabama fans I never thought he was leaving for another program. And how could he?

With all the upgrades coming to Bryant-Denny, there's no better stadium to be in or play in.

Now the real question becomes, when will we build the statue of Greg Byrne?
