Enjoy UA Museums Virtually

As we are learning how to live in a new type of environment due to COVID-19, it doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy some of our hobbies and interests. As for me, I love museums. I was excited to find out that you can experience the University Of Alabama Museums from home. I know most of us prefer to enjoy the sights and sounds in person, and we will soon. However, this is an excellent opportunity to satisfy your museum interests, expose your children to what museums offer, and have a great escape.

The University of Alabama Museums that will be offering a virtual experience is the Alabama Museum of Natural History, The Gorgas House Museum, the Mildred Westerville Warner Transportation Museum, and the Moundville Archaeological Park. According to the UA Museums, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they “have had to close their doors, but that isn’t stopping them from providing educational outreach. They are presenting daily programming (Mondays through Fridays) at 10:00 AM Central that will include experts in various fields, offering Q&A time for those watching at home.” For the schedule, click here. And they even offer archived Facebook Live Streams as well.
