Freeze Warning For Tonight Into Saturday Morning

Today it will be partly sunny with a high near 53. Tonight, you can expect mostly clear skies with a low around 31. Also, the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for tonight from 10 pm until Saturday at 8 am. There will be sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 expected. This is for portions of s of central, east-central, northeast northwest and west-central Alabama. Saturday, there will be frost in the morning until 9 am, and it will be a sunny day with a high near 60. Saturday night, there will be calm winds, a low near 38, and clear conditions. For what is being labeled the “Game of the Year” there will be sunny skies for the Alabama vs. LSU game. The kickoff will be at 2:30 pm, and I expect temperatures to be around 60 decreasing to the low to mid 50’s by the end of the game.
There will be traffic concerns for Tuscaloosa, with an increase for the game day along with the Presidential visit. Our Townsquare Media radio stations will be covering traffic starting at 9:30 am on Saturday until 2:30 pm. Also, we will have post-game traffic coverage, as well.
