Greene County Alabama Multi-Vehicle Wreck Blocks Portion of SB I-59
UPDATE:
According to Corporal Reginal M. King of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, "the crash scene is clear. ALDOT will continue to divert traffic onto U.S. 11 for approximately one hour before re-opening Interstate 59."
Around 3:23 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022, there was a multi-vehicle crash that occurred. According to Corporal Reginal M. King of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency this “has resulted in roadway blockage on Interstate 59 near the 52-mile marker, in Greene County.”
This wreck has caused that for an undetermined amount of time, the southbound lanes are blocked. As this story develops, “motorists are encouraged to avoid this area and, if possible, seek an alternate route,” said King.
Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Traffic Reporter, Captain Ray Allen, suggested the following route, “if traveling WB take exit 62 at Fosters over to US 11 down to exit 52.”
