Alabama Women’s Basketball Climbs In the AP Poll
TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- Under the leadership of Coach Kristy Curry, the women's basketball team has made significant strides. The team kicked off the season with a spot in the AP Top 25 poll, marking the first time since the 1998-199 preseason that they achieved this honor.
On Nov. 10, the Crimson Tide defeated Troy 94-71, which also marked Curry's 200th victory at the Capstone. This win was notable as it was the third straight game in which the team scored 80 or more points.
Following the victory, the Crimson Tide moved up two spots in the AP poll, now sitting at No.22. As the season unfolds, the team aims to maintain its momentum and contribute to the advancement of women's college basketball.
The Crimson Tide will return to Coleman Coliseum with back-to back games on Wednesday against Norfolk State at 6:00 p.m. and Alcorn on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. as well.
