According to Basketball Analyst Jeff Goodman, Arkansas State's Men's Basketball team was stranded for two hours after their bus broke down two hours away from Tuscaloosa due to a shredded belt, which was eventually repaired by Redwolves head coach Bryan Hodgson, who saved the day and got the ball club back on the road.

The Redwolves had to cancel their practice for today due to these problems, consequently, Arkansas State finds themselves in a challenging position without practice one day before their game against the top-ranked Crimson Tide, who is currently 1-0 after defeating UNC-Ashville 110-54 on the season opener this past Monday.

Arkansas State, who is also 1-0 after an 80-75 overtime victory over Akron in their season opener, will try to get to Tuscaloosa in time for their game against the top-ranked Tide after head coach Bryan Hodgson fixed the shredded belt on the team's bus.

Hodgson worked as an assistant to Nate Oats at Alabama until becoming Arkansas State's head coach in 2023. Hodgson is in his second season with the Redwolves, and the former tide assistant has transformed Arkansas State into the Sun Belt's top contender this year.

Thanks to the Redwolves' head coach, Arkansas State is back on the road and will face the second-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide this Friday, tipping off at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
