Mitchell and a passenger allegedly had a firearm, $7,000 in cash, a scale and 226 grams of marijuana in the car when pulled over by the Holmes County sheriffs.

He was removed from team activities immediately following.

"Everybody's got an opportunity to make choices and decisions," head coach Nick Saban said at the time of Mitchell's arrest. "There's no such thing and being at the wrong place on time."

"You’ve gotta be responsible for who you’re with, who you’re around and what you do, who you associate yourself with and the situations that you put yourself in. It is what it is, but there is cause and effect when you make choices and decisions that put you in bad situations"

On Tuesday, reporting done by AL.com's Mike Rodak disclosed that Mitchell won't see any jailtime for the arrest, according to his attorney. He'll plead no contest to the charges when he appears in a Holmes County court on Wednesday.
