The Alabama Crimson Tide's 2022-23 season unfortunately came to an untimely end on Friday night with a Sweet 16 loss to San Diego State.

The Crimson Tide won both the SEC regular season and tournament championship and accumulated the most wins in a single season on its way to the top seed in the NCAA Tournament.

While the season didn't end on the high note that everyone envisioned, it's undeniable that the Alabama basketball program is as healthy as it's been in quite some time.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats has proven to be a strong recruiter throughout his time in Tuscaloosa and he's not afraid of bending the transfer portal to his will.

Oats has already nailed down the No. 14 overall recruiting class and now is turning his attention to the transfer portal.

According to CrimsonCrossover the Alabama program has already reached out to five different players that have already entered the portal.

Kamari Lands- The 6-foot-8 freshman is a forward who played in all 32 regular season games, with six starts, for the Louisville Cardinals in 2022-23. Lands was considered a 4-star prospect out of Arizona and committed to Louisville over Arizona State, Kansas, Syracuse and DePaul.

Lands averaged 6 points and 2 rebounds per game as a freshman while shooting 32% from the 3-point line and converting 87% from the free-throw line. He was able to reach double-figure scoring in four ACC contests this year, while scoring a season high 15 points in three different contests.

He entered the transfer portal on March 10.

Nate Calmese - The 6-foot-2 freshman guard started in all 31 games for the Lamar Cardinals in the Southland conference in 2022-23. He's an Arizona native and averaged 17 points and 2 assists per game while shooting 36% from the 3-point line.

He was considered a 2-star prospect in the 2022 class but seems to have out performed expectations. Calmese scored a career high 32 points against the Houston Christian Huskies on Feb. 16, he scored 25 or more in six of his 31 games.

He entered the transfer portal on March 8.

Zach Austin - The 6-foot-7 forward out of High Point College is an interesting prospect who's received heavy attention from large programs since entering the transfer portal.

Austin is a sophomore out of North Carolina who went sparsely recruited out of Moravian Prep. He averaged 14 points and 5 rebounds per game this past season in the Big South conference who offers a long wingspan and has athletic upside.

He entered the transfer portal on March 13.

Reese Dixon-Waters - The 6-foot-5 guard played in 25 games and started in seven for the USC Trojans in 2022-23. Dixon-Waters averaged 9.8 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game as a junior.

He was a 4-star recruit in the 2020 class and joined the Trojans after graduating early. The California native has been inconsistent from behind the arc, shooting 46% in 2021-22 but 29% in 2022-23. He was the Pac-12's Sixth Man of the Year this past season.

Dixon-Waters entered the transfer portal on March 22.

Denver Jones - The 6-foot-4 guard is an Alabama native playing for FIU. He averaged 20 points per game for the Panthers, starting in all 28 games in 2022-23.

Jones scored a season high 30 points in the regular season finale against the Rice Owls and converted at 37% from behind the 3-point line.

Jones entered the transfer portal on March 20, after two seasons with FIU.

There's no telling how active the Crimson Tide will be in the transfer portal, but history tells us Alabama won't be shy. Oats has attacked the portal each offseason bringing in contributors like Jahvon Quinerly, James Bolden, Jordan Bruner, Noah Gurley, Nimari Burnett, Mark Sears and Dom Welch by way of the portal.
