I know. We're the worst. We are dead last. WAIT!

That can't be right. Mississippi is always dead last!

We are usually ranked after Ole Miss, at least in earlier days and better times.

Let me just say right up front, that we aren't the worst according to NEWSWEEK!

Check this out!

We certainly are better than about 12 other states in the USA.

OK, FINE, we came in 38th in the most critical categories. Romance and fun.

How could we be almost in last place when it comes to romance and fun?

We have plenty of romance and fun in this state.

So, get out of my face with this stuff about Alabama not being a place for romance and fun.

When will these people stop the war on Alabama?

Come on man!

Some of the bad publicity comes from stories reported in the past like the one below:

Wallethub recently released its rankings of states; the ranking is based on factors such as average income, job opportunities, nightlife options, and the cost of movie tickets.

The top five best states are Washington, Colorado, California, Montana (HOW THOUGH?), and South Dakota (again: WHUT?).

The five worst states are Alaska, West Virginia, Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi. Yes, Mississippi is THE WORST.
