Tuskegee Teens Arrested on Multiple Murder Charges in Dadeville Mass Shooting

Update on 4/20:

A fourth arrest has been made in Tallapoosa county relating to the mass shooting at a birthday party over the weekend that left four dead, according to the ALEA.

On Thursday morning, 20-year-old Johnny Letron Brown was also charged with four counts of reckless murder and booked into the Tallapoosa county jail without a bond.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency announced the arrest of a third suspect in connection to the Dadeville mass shooting incident. Wilson LaMar Hill, Jr., 20, of Auburn was arrested and formally charged with four counts of reckless murder.

Two teenagers from Tuskegee are facing multiple charges stemming from the Dadeville mass shooting that left four people dead and 32 injured.

During a Wednesday morning press conference, Sergeant Jeremy Burkett with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said 17-year-old Ty Reik McCullough and 16-year-old Travis McCullough, both of Tuskegee, were arrested at 8 p.m Tuesday night and charged with four counts of reckless murder.

Burkett said the incident occurred at a Sweet 16 birthday party Saturday night shortly after 10:30 p.m. at a venue located in the 200 block of Broadnax Street in Dadeville, located in Tallapoosa County.

Burkett said the investigation remains in the early stages and encourages anyone who was present during the shooting to contact authorities.

"There is a tremendous amount of work that is yet to be done," Burkett said during the press conference. "If you were at the venue that night and you have not come forward, meaning you have not contacted law enforcement, I absolutely want you to do that. We need you to come forward for these families and for these victims."

Mike Segrest, district attorney for the 5th Judicial District Circuit of Alabama, said the state of Alabama will be requesting no bond for the suspects and they are expected to be tried as adults in the case.

Segrest said additional charges are also expected to be filed in the case.

"We got a lot of victims in this," Segrest said. "We still got four in the hospital, four that are in critical condition. There will be pending charges coming regarding all those so I tell you, this is just the tip of the iceberg. We're going to make sure every one of those victims have justice, not just the deceased."

Dadeville Police Chief Jonathan Floyd, said the police department is going to provide resources and support to the community and "is going to do everything we can to make sure we can have a successful prosecution for you."

"We have one chance to get this right," Floyd said. "In a few days, most of you will be gone. Our community is still going to be here. Our victims, the people that are affected are still going to be here. We're going to be here with them."
