Weather Update for Monday, December 2, 2019

Today will be mostly sunny and cold with a high near 47, along with winds up to 15 mph.  Tonight, you can expect partly cloudy conditions with a low around 29.  This week you can expect mostly sunny conditions and the first opportunity for rain will make its way to our area on Thursday evening.

Weather Headlines from across the globe:

East Africa experienced two years’ worth of rain in one day late last week with more rain to come.   According to the Associated Press, “more than 18,000 people across Kenya are displaced, according to the Kenya Red Cross Society. Infrastructure has been damaged, making aid delivery more difficult.  Doctors are worried that diseases, especially waterborne ones, might spread.”

Pennsylvania to Main could receive 10 to 20 inches of snow by Tuesday due to a Nor’easter.  Also, snow is expected in the Appalachian Mountains, as well.

The weather has also impacted flights, as well.  According to CNN, “Sunday evening, nearly 6,500 flights were delayed within, into or out of the United States, and more than 800 had been canceled.”
