Northport Residents Plan a Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness

As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a number of groups have planned events to bring awareness to the fight for a cure. One such event will take place on Saturday, October 20.

A Breast Cancer Awareness Walk will take place at the Robert Hasson Community Center, one of Northport's venues for community functions and private events.

Breast cancer is one of the major causes of death in women, and more research is needed in not only the fight for a cure but also in discovering methods of prevention.
