A person was robbed near the University of Alabama early Monday Morning, (5/28). Officials say the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Reed Street, near Publix on University Boulevard.

According to authorities, the victim was robbed at gunpoint and had a laptop stolen before two suspects drove away in a green SUV. Fortunately, the victim was left unharmed.

The suspects are being described as black males. One of the males is said to be about 5' 8"  with a medium build and shoulder-length dreadlocks in a ponytail. The other  suspect is about 5 feet tall, with a thin build.

Authorities ask that if you have any information about this robbery,  to please contact UAPD, or Tuscaloosa Crime Stoppers at 205-752-7867.

Officials are also warning those who live near the UA campus to be wary of walking alone at night, and to be alert and aware of your surroundings at all times
