Police Investigating Second Shooting at Convenience Store in 3 Days
The Tuscaloosa Police Department is investigating the second shooting at the Winston Mart convenience store on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard this week.
A 20-year-old man was shot and killed there late Sunday night, and investigators with the multi-agency Violent Crimes Unit say another victim was shot there early Wednesday evening.
Jack Kennedy, the unit's commander, said the victim's condition is currently unknown and a possible suspect is already in custody.
An 18-year-old has been charged with murder in the Sunday night slaying. It is unclear if the incident Wednesday is related in any way to the first shooting.
