Police Respond to Shooting at McCalla Service Station

Police are on the scene of a shooting at the Allen's Food Mart in McCalla Wednesday afternoon, according to Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office investigators.

Capt. Jack Kennedy, the commander of the multi-agency Violent Crimes Unit, confirmed at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday that VCU officers were called to the scene just off Exit 97 on I-20/59.

Kennedy did not immediately provide any information about the victim's condition or if a suspect has been identified or arrested.
