It can be a huge challenge trying to keep up with technology, but that's especially true when it comes to apps on phones and mobile devices. With thousands already available and new ones being added daily, it's difficult to keep up with what's out there.

Some apps seem innocent but predators use them to get in contact with children, while others can be deceptive at first glance but act as a way to store videos and pictures without you knowing. Police around the country have gotten more and more experience in tracking apps that can put your children in a vulnerable position, and they are sharing some of the ones that you should be on the lookout for.

Take a look at this graphic from the Sarasota Sheriff's Department that lists nine apps all parents should know about and what makes them dangerous for children.
