As social distancing continues, schools across the state are closed for the remainder of this school year.  Yet, Tuscaloosa City and County Schools remain committed to providing nutrition for children.

It was previously announced that students could go to area schools to receive two meals each weekday, but to limit workers' possible exposure to COVID-19 and to decrease the necessity for travel, a week's worth of meals are now being given to students every Monday, beginning at 11 a.m.

Officials further state that if appropriate social distancing can no longer be ensured during one-day-a-week meal services, the system may have to suspend/cancel the program.
