The National Weather Service in Birmingham has placed all of West Alabama within a marginal risk area for severe weather today.

Scattered thunderstorms are forecast to impact the Tuscaloosa area between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. These storms could bring damaging winds of up to 60 miles and hour and heavy rainfall, resulting in localized flooding.
