Shooting fireworks out of your own window? Why?!?!
Fireworks can be fun, if used properly of course.
This story involving Leonard Morgan however, is not a story of proper firework handling. Coming to us from The Des Moines Register, Mr. Morgan one day decided to light some fireworks. But instead of abiding by the city of Carlisle's ordinance of fireworks, he decided to light them anywhere, and close to other apartments.
The tipping point came when Leonard, supposedly, threw a firecracker at a neighbor's window. He was warned by the police to not do that again, but he ignored the warning and continue light fireworks. Eventually the authorities intervened and went to Mr. Morgan's apartment, finding him in the unit with the fireworks in question. Leonard was subsequently arrested for reckless use of explosives.
Let this be a reminder to use fireworks safely, especially with 4th of July coming up!
