A cold and damp night awaited both Sipsey Valley and Northside. The game would have no playoff implications for either team, as the Rams were already set to take on Madison County and the Bears were eliminated from playoff contention.

For Sipsey, the ultimate goal was to send off the seniors with a win.

Scoring opened up with Northside showing off the run game and then fooling the Sipsey Valley defense with a pass. QB Braden Greene threw a perfect pass to WR Justin Montgomery. After that, the first quarter flew by, with both teams trading possessions, but Northside still holding the advantage.

In the second quarter, Sipsey began to show signs of not backing down. They converted on a risky fourth-down call in their own territory. But just as signs of a momentum shift showed, Northside quickly shut them down with a pick-six from Justin Montogomery.

Sipsey however was able to score in the second after a pass from QB Ryan Barger to WR Timarcus Grayson. The PAT however was no good. The teams went into halftime with Northside holding a 12-6.

To begin the second half, Sipsey caught Northside off-guard and took the lead on a pass from QB Ryan Barger to WR Dalton Bailey. With the PAT succeding, Sipsey had finally grasped the lead for the first time in the contest.

But as quickly as the lead was grabbed, Northside took it back in no time.

The rushing attack of the Rams proved lethal and fast. QB Braden Green, Jace McNutt, and Cole Williamson all took it to the house to quickly put the game out of hand for Sipsey.

Mental mistakes for Sipsey also hindered any attempt of a comeback. Bad punts and inconvenient fumbles came at the worst time for the Bears.

Scott Marchant, head coach of Sipsey Valley thought his team played well against a tough team in Northside:

"I thought we played with a lot of energy in the first half, we just couldn't sustain the kind of intensity we needed to." Coach Marchant went on: "The kids played hard and fought hard the entire game."

Northside Coach Chris Hiliker praised Sipsey Valley and said the slate is now wiped clean metaphorically as they enter the playoffs:

"We're starting a new season, we got Madison County coming to our place and they're a big physical team." Hiliker continued: "We got to get onto film study and get back to work as soon as we can."

With the win, Northside improves to 9-1. Sipsey Valley falls to 3-7.
