Get ready for a night of free stand-up at The Brass Tap in Tuscaloosa's Midtown Village. The "Tap That Brass" comedy showcase, sponsored by Stand-Up Tuscaloosa, is going down at 8 p.m. Thursday, October 11th.

The showcase is hosted by local comedians Jackson Crutchfield and Richard Lockhart and features a stellar lineup. Here's more from the official event page on Facebook:

This Thursday, October 11th, at 8:00pm the biweekly comedy show kicks off with some of Birmingham’s finest Paige McBride, Tyler Cooper, and Michael Ruffino of the Balmy Boys. 

Chris Weathers, originally from South Carolina, is a comedian/writer based in ATL. He’s opened for Kyle Kinane, Rory Scovel and Margaret Cho, to name three. 

Headliner Katie Hughes is a comedian and writer based in Atlanta where she is a weekend regular at the Laughing Skull Lounge. Katie is a graduate of Second City's Advanced Writing and Improv Conservatory Programs. She was featured in Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, and Red Clay Comedy Festival. Katie has opened for Scott Thompson, Donnell Rawlings, and Robert Kelly, to name a few.
