T.S. Cristobal Brings A Marginal Risk Area For Monday

As Tropical Storm Cristobal continues its northern path, Central and West Alabama will be on the rain side of the storm.  For the state of Alabama right now, it is affecting the southwestern part of the state and will move into southern Alabama this evening into the overnight hours.  According to the Facebook Page for the National Weather Service Birmingham, they noted that “with T.S. Cristobal moving inland tonight and tomorrow to our west, a few rainbands will move across the area that will pose a risk for locally strong winds and the potential for a few brief tornadoes. These risks are highest toward the AL/MS state line.”  This marginal risk for severe storms is predicted to take place from 3 am until 3 pm on Monday, June 8, 2020.

Also, there is a Hazardous Weather Outlook that brings a small chance of a tornado, wind gusts up to 35 mph, and windy conditions.  The counties under this Hazardous Weather Outlook are Marion-Lamar-Fayette-Winston-Walker-Blount-Etowah-Calhoun-Cherokee-Cleburne-Pickens-Tuscaloosa-Jefferson-Shelby-St. Clair-Talladega-Clay-Randolph-Sumter-Greene-Hale-Perry-Bibb-Chilton-Coosa-Tallapoosa-Chambers-Marengo-Dallas-Autauga-Lowndes-Elmore-Montgomery-Macon-Bullock-Lee-Russell-Pike-Barbour (Issued by the NWS).
