One of Tuscaloosa's favorite holiday traditions returns to the Tuscaloosa Riverwalk tonight. The Tinsel Trail's Grand Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. tonight (Monday, November 23rd).

In an effort to promote social distancing, this year's Grand Opening will happen along the entirety of the Tinsel Trail instead of indoors at the Tuscaloosa River Market. Attendees will be able to visit with vendors, see this year's award-winning trees, and enjoy free cookies and drinks while supplies last.

Trees are decorated and on display along the River Walk outside of the Tuscaloosa River Market as well as the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. The trail also includes "Candy Cane Lane," sponsored by Sign Pro, where visitors can have their photo taken with giant Christmas displays.

The Tinsel Trail is presented by Tuscaloosa's One Place with assistance from Premiere Service Company and Buffalo Rock Pepsi. Over 170 local businesses and organizations purchase a tree to decorate along the trail, with proceeds to benefit the work Tuscaloosa's One Place does for West Alabama.
