Today in Alabama, It Could Be 20 Degrees Above Average

It is going to be an unseasonably warm day for Monday, January 25, 2021. Our coverage areas could experience temperatures in the low 70s this afternoon.

Winter Storm Nathaniel is expected to bring snow and ice for areas between northern Kansas to Chicago. With that in mind, I enjoyed not turning on the heat this morning. Enjoy it because it will not last long.

The National Weather Service Birmingham reports that today there will be “widely scattered showers will be in the area this morning, but the highest coverage comes this evening as a cold front passes through. A few thunderstorms are possible as well. It will be unseasonably warm today with highs in the 70s and mild overnight.”

Today, along with unseasonable temperatures, there will be a chance for wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour. Showers for today are at 40 percent. The rain chances will gradually be increasing into this evening.

How long will the warm temperatures last?

Tuesday, the high near 69 with a low near 51.

Wednesday, the high will be near 63 with a low near 33.

Thursday, we are looking at a near 50 with a low near 27.
