Tuscaloosa’s “Holidays on the River” returns next month!
Temperatures are dropping, the Tide is rolling and Christmas edges ever closer -- that means it will soon be time once again for winter wonder at the City of Tuscaloosa's Holidays on the River!
City spokesman Richard Rush announced Wednesday that the annual event will return to the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater on November 27th and run through January 20, 2020.
The venue will feature horse-drawn carriage rides, visits from Santa Claus and of course, daily ice skating opportunities.
Rush said the Very Merry Market will also return this year on November 30th and December 1st, allowing guests to shop local for the holidays at booths from area vendors.
Admission to Holidays on the River at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater is free for all guests, but guests must purchase skate pass tickets for skate rental and access to the ice rink. Skate passes are $15 per person and include skate rental and admission to the rink for the day. Season passes are $85 and include skate rental and unlimited skating for the 2019-2020 winter season. Those passes will be available to pre-order on November 1st.
