Two Tuscaloosa ABC Stores To Temporarily Close Due To COVID-19

COVID-19 continues to strikes blows to our local economy. It's been announced that multiple ABC stores around Alabama will close due to COVID-19.

According to WBRC, the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board will be temporarily closing ABC stores across the state. These closures are due to the concerning number of COVID-19 cases in the state of Alabama. In total, there will be 41 ABC stores closing across the state. Two of those stores are in Tuscaloosa.

ABC Board Administrator Mac Gipson says, "Closing some of our stores will provide the greatest amount of employee/customer protection while ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency. Our primary concern is the health and well-being of our employees and patrons.”

The stores affected will close their doors on Jan.16th at the end of the day. They won't be expected to reopen until at least late February or early March.
