Safety restrictions due to the COVID-19 outbreak forced the cancellation of the University of Alabama's spring commencement exercises, but the Capstone isn't letting the novel Coronavirus get in the way of honoring its graduates.

The University of Alabama shared the touching tribute above to its official YouTube channel this morning (Friday, May 1st). The video highlights the journey students have made in their time on campus--from tailgating to seeing snowfall at Bryant-Denny, from making new friends to cramming for final exams and celebrating the Tide's National Championship victory against the Georgia Bulldogs in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

I can only imagine how difficult this weekend must be for the Class of 2020. Graduation was supposed to take place today and tomorrow, so knowing you can't walk the line in your cap and gown must be devastating. My beautiful and talented intern, Shelby Cohen (aka "Jersey Girl") doesn't get to celebrate her graduation in a traditional sense, but I know that she, along with the rest of her graduating class, is still bound for greatness.

Roll Tide!
