West Alabama Task Force Searching For Man Wanted On Child Porn Charges
UPDATE- 2:37p: Sells has been taken into custody and is on his way to jail
The West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force is searching for a Tuscaloosa resident wanted for multiple charges.
The task force is searching for Matthew Sells of Tuscaloosa who is wanted on 10 counts of possession of child pornography. According to comments on TPD’s Facebook post, Sells has been spotted at a Mapco on highway 69 in a silver SUV.
“This guy asked me for money Sunday afternoon while I was pumping gas at mapco down 69s. He pulled in and pulled up to me and asked if I had any money that he was trying to get back to Birmingham that he came here to pick up his little sister. After I said that I didn’t have the extra money right now being a single mom this close to Christmas he pulled off and left. He was in a silver small suv”
As a new father of a boy and a girl, it's absolutely disgusting to hear about someone having 10 counts of possession of child pornography. No wonder why parents are so protective of their kids.
I really hope this man is found and brought to justice soon. With his history, I can only imagine the potential trauma he could possibly inflict on kids.
These charges stem from an investigation initiated by the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force earlier this month. Any assistance, in this case, is appreciated.
Matthew Sells is 25 years old, 5’10, and is 260 pounds. The West Alabama Human Trafficking Taskforce is asking the public to contact 205-349-2121 ext. 9 or call CrimeStoppers at 205-752-STOP(7867).
