Who are the 2022 Phenomenal Women of West Alabama?
Happy Women’s History Month from Townsquare Media and the Girl, Glow Up Leadership and Mentoring Nonprofit Organization. As we know women have been part of the fabric of history since the beginning of time.
It has been a long road to Women’s History Month which started as Women’s History Week in 1982. Then in “1987 after being petitioned by the National Women’s History Project, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9 which designated the month of March 1987 as “Women’s History Month,” according to the Library of Congress. Then during the years 1988 through 1995, Congress passed resolutions to allow the “President to proclaim March of each year as Women’s History Month.
