High Wind Warning Details

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a High Wind Warning from 5 pm until 10 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. This is for the following counties:

Just Added Counties:

Greene

Sumter

Original Counties:

Fayette

Lamar

Marion

Pickens

Winston

According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham “sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are expected.”

The safety aspect of a High Wind Warning, the National Weather Service notes that “sustained, strong winds with even stronger guests are happening. Seek shelter. If you are driving, keep both hands on the wheels and slow down.”

Barbour, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Etowah, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Talladega, and Tallapoosa.

 

Wind Advisory - Starting at 9 am Wednesday, March 30, 2022, until 1 am Thursday, March 31, 2022

 

 

 

Autauga, Bibb, Blount, Chilton, Dallas, Hale, Jefferson, Lowndes, Marengo, Perry, Shelby, St. Clair, Tuscaloosa, and Walker.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham noted that “sustained winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.”
