Get ready for a breezy day across the state, as wind gusts could exceed 35 miles an hour throughout the day.  The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Wind Advisory in effect until 10 p.m. tonight (Tuesday, March 20). Sustained winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour are possible with gusts as high as 35 miles per hour.

The full text of the advisory is below:

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO
10 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* TIMING...of the strongest winds will be this afternoon through
  10 PM.

* WINDS...of 15 to 25 mph will be possible with gusts up to 35
  mph at times.

* IMPACTS...of these strong winds could cause difficult driving,
  downed trees or larger limbs. Be especially cautious in areas
  where damage occurred on Monday as these winds could result in
  loose debris or damaged limbs to fall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of 35 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
