33rd Annual Mal Moore Tournament Set To Tee Off in April
The 33rd Annual Mal Moore Memorial Tournament will soon be taking place. The tournament will be played at the NorthRiver Yacht Club on Friday, April 29th.
According to a press release from Kathryn Adams, marketing director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Alabama: "Proceeds from this annual event support Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama in its mission to inspire and enable all young people in our community to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens."
Greg and Regina Byrne will also be special guests of the event.
The tournament originally began in 1990, which according to the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Alabama, "started as the Wimp Sanderson Boys Club Charity Golf Tournament. David Hobbs and Mark Gottfried served as hosts after Wimp until Mal Moore took the position in 2000. Mal remained with the tournament until his death in 2013."
The tournament will begin at 7:30 AM. There will be both morning and afternoon tee times.
A charity auction will also be taking place, with bids being placed on the Bid Beacon app beginning on Thursday, April 21st at 8 AM.
