Alabama Beauty Queen to Host Local Heart Center Benefit
Save the date for a terrific fundraiser for The Heart Center at Children’s Hospital in Tuscaloosa, AL. A Work of Heart-Art Auction and Fundraiser will be on Sunday, February 7, 2021. The event will be held at the Chapel Cabinetry Showroom located at 815 31st Avenue in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The founder and host of this event is Alabama native Graceson Pugh. She is the reigning Miss Junior Teen United States. Ms. Pugh reminds us that “the Bible says in I Peter 4:10 that we are called to use our gifts to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace. I want to use my talents and skills to benefit others.”
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “congenital heart conditions affect nearly 1% of―or about 40,000―births per year in the United States.” According to Ms. Pugh, “The Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center of Alabama provides the most up to date and highest quality care for their patients. Support for this phenomenal facility will provide assistance to patients and their families and further research into the study of pediatric congenital heart disease.”
The press release noted that “the auction will feature local artists of all ages with a variety of styles and mediums. You may participate by bidding on your favorite piece(s), registering for door prizes, or making a donation to The Heart Center.” The best part about this wonderful event is that all proceeds benefit The Heart Center at Children’s Hospital.
