Montgomery, Alabama police say a disagreement over beer led to a man being assaulted with a machete last Wednesday.

Police Capt. Regina Duckett told reporters that two men were arguing over beer when the disagreement turned violent.

In the scuffle that ensued, one of the men suffered a cut from the machete on the right side of his head, and on his left hand. It is not known if the man who suffered the injuries was the victim of the attack, or the man actually wielding the machete. Fortunately, the injuries were non life-threatening.

Police say that Lamar Flynn, 50, was arrested on a charge of second-degree assault. He is currently being held with bond set at $15,000.
