Nick Dunlap Turns Pro
Alabama superstar golfer Nick Dunlap makes his final decision on his golfing career.
Alabama golf coach Jay Seawell spoke before Dunlap got to the podium and spoke about how Sunday was a surreal day for Dunlap and himself. He said they wanted to get the team out, but couldn't on short notice.
Following Coach Seawell, an emotional Nick Dunlap took the podium. He thanked Coach Seawell for recruiting him, and he thanked his team.
"I truly have the best team, thank you," said Dunlap.
"It's pretty surreal, but it's also scary," Dunlap said about the decision. "It's an incredible opportunity, and I'm very grateful for it."
Alabama will now have seven pro golfers on the PGA Tour. Dunlap will join Michael Thompson, Trey Mullinax, Davis Riley, Robby Shelton, Lee Hodges, Bud Cauley, and of course, Justin Thomas on the PGA Tour.
Dunlap will debut as a pro at the Pebble-Beach Pro-Am in February.
